Faith Community Church

Our Pastor

Pastor Wesley Morris is the Senior Pastor of Faith Community Church in Greensboro, NC, where he leads a congregation rooted in the dynamic relationship between spirituality and transformative justice. He serves in ministry with his wife, Kenya Murray Morris.

For more than a decade, Pastor Wesley worked with the Beloved Community Center of Greensboro, home of the nation’s first Community Truth and Reconciliation Process. That experience uniquely shaped his ability to guide communities in intergenerational learning, historical archiving, and grassroots organizing. He continues to walk alongside people navigating the wounds of systemic racism and the violence of poverty, helping them transform grief into resilience and resistance.

Pastor Wesley’s vocation and  leadership has carried him to Cuba, Barbados, Palestine, Brazil, and Ghana, opening cultural and spiritual pathways for communities often denied access to such exchanges. He is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University where he earned a Bachelor of History. He continued his studies at Union Theological Seminary in New York, where he earned a Master of Divinity.  When asked about his call, Wesley says, “I am here to create emotional and historical release from emotional and historical bondage.”
